When she was twelve years old, Tarryn’s family moved down south for her Dad’s new job.
Twenty years on, Tarryn works for the same company - and is president of the social club that welcomed her into the community so many years ago.
For Mat - who plays soccer, races dirt bikes, plays guitar and piano and works on his parents farm - flexibility is important.
“Most other companies do week on, week off. We’re never on for more than five days, and then you get four or five days off,” said Mat.
She went from fidgeting in a classroom to doing work she loved - and even talking in front of hundreds of students about her experience.
Tehlia’s apprenticeship as a South32 heavy diesel mechanic has been so much more than she expected.
